Obituary of Gerald W. Hews Sr.

BELFAST GERALD "BUTTONS" HEWS SR., 67, passed away December 31, 2021, at his residence in Belfast. He was born in Brooks, Maine January 5, 1954, to Floyd and Arlene (Cook) Hews. Gerald worked in the poultry plants and for the railroad. He was a member of the Pocahontas, Sons of American Legion, Auxillary VFW, and Redman Hall. He loved to go bowling, fishing, and camping. He had many friends and enjoyed clowning around and dancing. He is predeceased by both parents and a brother Sonny. Gerald is survived by his children Gerald Hews Jr. and girlfriend Laurie Harvey of Belfast and Cherri Severson and husband MG of Union; his sisters Joyce Mitchell and Roxanne Staples, both of Belfast, four grandchildren, Kelsey, Annferney, Landin, and Jayden; many nieces and nephews, and favorite niece Lauri Jewett.
