Buttons was a very dear friend to me and my family. He loved to walk around the point in stockton, and I will always treasure the spot where he fell in the darkness by the railroad tracks. Had I known, I would have rushed to his aid as he lay there in pain within seconds of our house. May buttons now Rest In Peace and love as we loved him so. He never let me help him quit smoking as my brother matt (mugsy) never did either. We shared many a conversation in his apartment in downtown stockton springs and also in his apartments in belfast. I will always remember him as my “redneck” buddy, as we joked each other to death about it. Gerald was as honest and good a person as I ever knew and I mourn his loss. He will be welcome at my door as long as time exists. He will be my friend forever.
