Obituary of Lloyd G. Manning
BELFAST — Lloyd George Manning, 58, of Belfast, went peacefully to be with his Lord at Maine Medical Center on October 4, 2021.
Lloyd was born on October 9, 1962, in Freedom, Maine. He attended Mt. View High School and continued his education at KVVTI in Waterville.
He was a devoted and loving husband and father as well as a reliable and fast friend to many who knew him. Lloyd worked at Hamilton Marine where his wife and daughters continue to work with their Hamilton Marine family.
Lloyd was a huge family man who enjoyed movie nights and campfires with his wife and daughters as well as an avid and competitive card player with family and friends. He loved to fish with his fishing buddy Jesse and had many wonderful outings together.
Lloyd loved building a chicken house, greenhouse, and garden for his wife, Kelley, and enjoyed teaching and working with his daughters, Carrie and Emily, to prepare them for whatever this world was going to throw at them.
He is survived by his loving family, wife Kelley, and daughters Carrie and Emily; siblings Wayne Manning and wife Nancy, Margaret Gatcomb and husband Pete, and Christie Burden and husband Mike; along with Mother in law Joanne Sabins, brother-in-laws John and Tim Gomm and sister in law Morgan Taylor, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Christina (King) Manning, sibling Clarence Manning and brother-in-law Robert Trask.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 am on June 30, 2022, at Riposta Funeral Home in Belfast, Maine, followed by interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Freedom, Maine.
