Oh, Betty! What good friends she and I became when I lived across the street from her in Bayside for 2.5 years. We'd sit on her porch or mine, living rooms in the winter when the place was deserted, have meals together, she'd bring me cookies, I'd bring her carrots. I'd weed her garden, she'd invite me to the Freedom Strawberry Festival, she'd give me cards from her and Lily, I'd give her flowers . . .pretty much daily hellos of one sort or another. My favorite card from her is on my fridge where she inscribed" "to the flowers that bloom in the spring, tra la". Betty, you will be missed, and forever loved. Trisha

Thinking of your families at this time of loss. Bayside just isn't the same without Betty taking her brisk walks around the village. With our sympathy at this time of loss. Cynthia Stuen & Bill Weisenbach

I will meet Betty. She was a loyal Baysider through and through I will remember her always walking around the village and checking on everyone's cottage day after day and year after year. She loved this community and was a big part of Bayside. She will be missed by many. Rest In Peace Steve and Sally Trenholm

I miss Bayside and stopping to talk to Betty on her porch during my strolls around the village. We both had fond memories of the UofM. I was class of 56 and Betty was class of 57. Harold Hede

It seems like yesterday little Max wandered into the dining room and said, " Hey, Betty." :) Nana Betty was a great lady, and a wonderful grandmother to Lesley and Ellen, as well as, all her extended grandkids. Thanks for sharing Betty with us. She will be missed.
