Obituary of Lorraine Marie Cox

Lorraine Marie Cox, 64, of Freedom Maine, passed away on August 16, 2024. She was born on May 21st 1960 to Carolyn Libby and Raymond Cox.

Lorraine was a graduate of Mt View high school, class of 78 and also attended some college years at university of Maine in Orono. Lorraine, the dedicated and hard worker she was started work at a young age. At camp Neofa in monville as a camp counselor. This is where she loved to spend her childhood summers. She also worked at Candle Wood camp in China Maine as a waitress. This is where she met her life long partner Ronnie Levesque.

At the age of 25 she had her daughter Lindsay Levesque. She spent most of her career at Hathaway shirt company in Waterville for 20 years. Then moved to finish her career in manufacturing at Matthew brothers in Belfast.  In her free time, Lorraine enjoyed her house hold pets, the beach, tanning, camping with friends and family, and being a great mom.              

Lorraine is survived by her husband Ronnie Levesque, daughter Lindsay Levesque, stepson Jeremy Gordon, daughter in-law Jennifer Rowe, granddaughters Tiana Brown, and husband Jake Brown, Kirsten Gordon, Alexis Sinclair, and husband Riley Sinclair, great grandsons Jaxon Brown and Hayden Brown, sisters Judy Kanney and husband Dave Kanney, Renee Cohen, brother Kevin Cox, and step siblings, Tammie Wingate, and Sonny Wingate.                                                                  

Lorraine was also preceded in death by her father Raymond Cox, sister Valerie Erb, step sister Charlene Wingate, step dad Roger Wingate, mom Carolyn Wingate, sister in-law Betty Willette, father-in-law William Levesque Sr. And mother-in-law Marilyn Levesque.

Lorraine cared deeply for all those around her. She will be missed by many.

A celebration of life will be held September 21st. The location will be updated a later date.
