Obituary of Corrin Merle Clark
With a heavy heart, our family announces the passing of Corrin M. Clark. He went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on August 16, 2024.
Corrin was born in Knox, Maine, on December 10th, 1936, to Daniel and Martha (Hubbard) Clark. He grew up on a small farm with his brothers Merland, Bryan, and Winston.
He graduated from Freedom Academy and continued his education at Bob Jones University.
Corrin started working in construction, at a young age, for his father. He served our country in the Army National Guard for four years while continuing his career in the construction industry. Operating equipment remained his passion throughout his life. Corrin worked for 60 Plus years before retiring from Sargent Corporation at the age of 78. He continued to operate equipment, on occasion, until he was 85.
Corrin met and married Geraldine Stubbs. They were happily married for 65 years and raised 5 children. He had a close relationship with his children, Alan (Tamara) Clark, Cynthia Friend, Randall (Norma) Clark, Lou Anne Leavitt, and Eric (Kimberly) Clark, which he considered his greatest accomplishment. Always being remembered by them as a father filled with unconditional love. His life continued to be filled with the joy of 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren who fondly referred to him as Bumpa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bryan Clark.
Corrin was a humble man who worked hard and lived a life of integrity motivated by his heart for the Lord. He considered himself a sinner saved by God’s grace.
Even though his passing has left a huge hole in our hearts and our lives, we take comfort in our faith in God that we will see him again.
Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
