Bob was a good friend and we shared many good times in years past through the activities of the Granite State BMW Riders motorcycle club. I last spoke with him in the Kelp Shed on Hermit Island at the Downeast Rally.
A favorite memory is the time that he and Claire bailed me out by picking up my young son, Haddon, at the Manchester Airport and cared for him for the day while I rushed over from Vermont to take him home after misunderstanding when he was flying in. I was in a real jam, and they saved me. Haddon had a good time, too!
Bob was a fine engineer, a real problem solver in the best tradition of our joint profession.
I send my most sincere condolences to Claire and the family.
