Obituary of Roland R. Ryan

Brooks – Roland R. Ryan, 86, passed away on July 17, 2024 at Waldo County Hospital surrounded by his family.  He was born in Brooks on January 8, 1938 son of the late Herbert and Hazel (Caldwell) Ryan.

Roland worked at Maine Reduction and Delta Chemical.  He had a hobby working on TV’s or anything that needed repair. He really enjoyed the lunches with his former classmates.

Roland is survived by his daughters Cheryl Walker and husband Todd of Farmington, Debra Ryan of Carmel, and Karen Turner and husband Donnie of Brooks.  His brother Dennis and wife Lorraine Ryan of Knox. Grandchildren, Derick, Jessica, Christina, Tyler and Ciara. Great Grandchildren, Haylee, Bryson, Triston, Noah, Nicholas, Kailee, Jenna, Anna, Mason, Kalli and Makenzie.  Great great grandchildren, Audrey, Alayna, Rylee, Maddox and Lila.  Randy’s widow Jessie. Many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his wife Erlane (Dolly) Davis Ryan, grandson Randy Walker and siblings, Willard, Herbert, Rita and Eleanor.  A nephew Joey.

At his request there will be a private burial with immediate family.  A celebration of life will be at the Brooks Varney Building  on September 7^th 2024 from 1PM to 4PM.  Memories and condolences may be shared on his tribute wall.
