Obituary of Emogene Finn

Emogene Finn passed away on July 2, 2024 in Belfast at the age of 77. 

Born on March 27,1947 to John and Emogene Driscoll, Emogene lived in California, Arizona, and Belfast, where her humor and charisma helped her excel in a real estate career and in customer service for MBNA.

She was a "ray of sunshine" to those who loved her.  A devoted hospice volunteer, compassionate and generous, Emogene had a special way with those living with grief. She would say, "When someone experiences loss, you ask if you can come and help. They say no. You go anyway." Emogene would always go. 

With a talent for crafts and an artistic flair, Emogene brought a sense of joy to any gathering. She relished the company of friends and family; she also knew the contentment of a good book and a chocolate torte.

Emogene is survived by her sister Mary Anne Driscoll; her grandson Sean Grimes; her granddaughters Kyla Matthews, Kristen Instone and Tommie Leadlove-Misner; her nieces Eleni Murphy and Thea Murphy; and her eight great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her two children, Yvette and Tony.  Emogene will be deeply missed by all, and by her loving partner, Bill Putnam.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Waldo County Hospice Volunteers would be greatly appreciated.  There will be a celebration of her life on Aug 19th at 4pm at Harbor Hill.
