Carol Ann Farley Murgia, 88, passed away on July 1, 2024, in Bangor, ME. Carol was born on May 17, 1936, to James and Jeanette Farley in Salem, MA and raised in Peabody, MA along with her 2 brothers, Richard and Robert Farley. After Carol graduated from St. Chridien High School in Peabody, MA she continued her studies at LaSalle Junior College in Newton MA.

Carol married John Robert Murgia in 1959 with whom she raised three children who survived her- Carla, Paula, and John Jr- first in Stoneham, MA, and later in Bristol, R.I, Swansea MA, and finally in Seekonk, MA.

Carol was known for her generous sense of humor and often entertained her friends and family with lively palm and tarot card readings. She became proficient in astrology as well and enjoyed creating detailed astrological reports for her friends and family.

After husband John’s death in 1999, Carol relocated to Murrells Inlet, S.C. where she discovered a talent for painting and drawing that she passionately indulged in. She was especially known for painting faithful portraits of her pets and was often asked by her friends and acquaintances to do the same for them. Her final years were spent at Seaport Village in Ellsworth, ME, and then at Ross Manor in Bangor. She had too many friends to count and the family extends heartfelt thanks to all who spent time and shared stories with Carol. Special thanks and love to her friends Rae, George, Carol T., Janice, and Connie.
