Obituary of Caro M. Furbush

October 7, 1951­- June 28, 2024

Caro Maxine (Flanders) Furbush was born to Arthur and Glenice (Flanders) Lenfest on October 7, 1951 in Northport Me.  She enjoyed Knitting, crocheting, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She cooked for many years at the Northport Diner with her brother Ralph and late Sister-in-law Kathy Flanders. She loved the water but hated swimming! She also spent several years hosting at the campground in Cowen Cove with her husband Ed, which she enjoyed tremendously.

Caro died peacefully on June 28, 2024, at the age of 72 surrounded by her loving family at the Sussman House in Rockport, Maine.

Caro was predeceased by her father Arthur Flanders, her mother Glenice Lenfest, Stepfather Elden Lenfest, Son Scott Littlefield, Brothers William Flanders, Arthur Flanders and Gordon Flanders, Sister-in-law’s Kathy Flanders and Pam Flanders, Son in-law Frederick Smith II, and Great Granddaughter Alissa Clark.

She is survived by her loving Husband of 22 years (together 36 years) Edwin Furbush Sr., Son Leonard Harvey III, Daughter Katherine Smith, Stepchildren Lesa Furbush, Skip Furbush, Eddie Furbush, Robert (Sonny) Vellaro, Errol Littlefield Jr. and Jami Weiner.  Her Grandchildren whom she thought the world of, Tyler, Kami, Freddie, Brooklin, Taren, Alvin, Derrick, Sylis, Joseph, Scotty, Joshua, Austin, Tanner, Olivia, Brandon and Veronica, and special friend (Sis) Doreen Parent. Several Great grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and friends.

The Celebration of Life for Caro will be August 17th from 2pm – 4pm at 34 Searsport Ave., Belfast Me. All are welcome.
