Obituary of Ricky Allen Lane II
Ricky Allen Lane II
January 16, 1987 - April 20, 2024
Ricky, 37, succumbed to his injuries following a tragic car accident. He was born in Waterville Maine on January 16, 1987 to Ricky Lane of Fairfield and Elizabeth Lane of Fairfield. He attended Lawrence High School where he made quite an impact on everyone he met. Always bringing the laughter into a room, Ricky was the guy who just wanted to make sure everyone had a good time. He lived for his children and family. He was an accomplished carpenter and loved what he did, especially to carry on the family legacy of hard working Lane men.
In October of 2021, he married the love of his life Rebecca Lane of Cushing Maine, then they began their life together in Union. They enjoyed spending time with their children and families, especially during the summer season.
Although Ricky fought many demons over the course of his much too short, but certainly exciting life, he fought for those whom he loved. He would do anything for anyone, and he loved with his entire soul. His brother Nicholas was his best friend and he had always aspired to be more like him. Rick would light up any room he stepped into with his jokes and bubbly personality. He loved his wife and children uncondotiontionally, never judged a soul, and would never drive by someone less fortunate, without dropping some extra money or a cheeseburger off. Sometimes even offering work. If you knew Rick, you rarely left him without a smile.
He met the love of his life, and would say the Betty to his Hulk, in 2018 and were married October 9, 2021. Since a young boy, he has always had a love for the outdoors. Whether it be fishing, hunting, camping or hiking, he was at peace in nature. He was always the liveliest one in the room, never leaving without having everyone full of laughter. The love he had for his children was undeniable. His children have been the best part of him. When it came to family or anyone he cared about, he would give the shirt off his back to help them. His laugh was infectious and will be desperately missed.
He is survived by his loving wife Rebecca Lane, his three children Kaydence Ware, Makylee and Ricky Lane III and their younger sister Lilly May Swisher, and step daughter Charley Thompson (daughter of Rebecca). He is also survived by his father Ricky Lane and step mother Andrea AHO-Lane, his mother Elizabeth Harvey, his brother Nicholas Lane and his wife Paige and their children Haylee, Paige and Akadia, his sister Rachel Switzer and her husband Michael and their children Tyler and Noah Lane, his grandparents Carl and Penny Lane and grandmother Jeanette Lane. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Paul and Ethlyn Harvey. He is survived by many Aunts and Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many extended family members and friends.
