First of all, I send my deep and heartfelt condolences to Beth's family and to Deborah. Beth was extraordinary and remarkably
exceptional in so many ways! Her character was stellar and she was multi -talented as well as being unassuming. She could
see things in people and places that others missed. She had a gentle, calming way about her that endeared her to many! She
also radiated authenticity which is a trait that this world needs to see more of today. Quite frankly, Beth made the world a
better place and she will be forever missed!

Although I only knew Beth personally for a short time, the time we spent together was always uplifting for both of us. Our most recent activity was to look at photos of different kinds of birds and to discuss each one in detail. We often shared memories from our past and observed the passersby outside, being birds, people and pets.
Beth would often call me a "gem" which made me feel truly special, appreciated and loved. At our last visit she called me a "gem" once more. I told her she was "sunshine". She really did bring sunshine to my day.
I am so glad to have had the chance to get to know appreciate and love this wonderful woman. I will miss her very much.

My sister, Judy, and Beth were very good friends growing up in Point Place. I have good memories.Beth and Judy were super smart! Beth's accomplishments were, obviously, many and her caring heart never changed over the years. Definitely a life very well lived. RIP Beth.

Beth truly exemplified the phrase "lived one's life to the fullest". She brought passion, kindness, and dedication to her profession as a painter, as a sculptor, as a teacher, and as a park ranger. She was an amazing person, both for what she has done for our community and for her wonderful personality.

We feel so fortunate to have Beth and Deborah for neighbors, and to have experienced many years of Beth's kind, intelligent, curious, enthusiastic energy. Beth defined the word "neighborly"! We will always remember her walking her little dogs, tending her stunning garden, showing us her incredibly inventive art, introducing our kids to the monarch butterflies she was hatching, and consistently showing interest in all of us and the world at large. We already knew she was an extraordinary person, but wow, to read this obituary is to hear about a life fully and beautifully and generously lived: this is a shining example of how to be on this planet. We are so inspired.
Deborah, seeing how you've cared for Beth these last few years has also been deeply inspiring. We are wishing you and all of Beth's loved ones soothing peace and comfort in the road ahead. We are so glad you and Beth had one another, and we love you so much.

When Beth started teaching at Gardiner Junior High School she really bonded with our class and ended moving with us when we progressed to the high school and became our class advisor until we graduated in 1981. We all loved her and she surely shaped our futures.
