Obituary of Patricia Anne Erickson
Patricia (Pat) Anne Erickson, 84 of Thorndike, Maine passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 3/30/2024. Born in Boston, Massachusetts to Edward and Mildred Norton on 9/18/1939, she graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School in 1957 and continued on to earn a bachelor's degree from Stonehill College. Early adulthood found her working at IBM, as well as modeling, until she found her true passion for doing daycare.
Meeting the love of her life Bob in 1976, they would initially settle in Westwood, Massachusetts. Traveling weekends to Maine allowed them the opportunity to enjoy family time with their two sons Rusty and Sean, then eventually finding a home in South China, Maine. To rekindle her passion for daycare, Bob and Pat purchased a large farmhouse where they spent their remaining years in Thorndike, Maine.
At Granny Goat Daycare, Pat shaped the lives of numerous children in her home for almost three decades. She would become an integral part of their lives and they would become her second family. Pat would often say, "I love my kids, I wish they wouldn't grow up!"
Retiring in 2012, Patsy enjoyed her later years by surrounding herself with friends who would scrapbook, knit and gossip. Who can ever forget "Girls Mondays!" And lastly, looking forward to all the holiday dinners where she would spend time with her grandchildren. No one will ever forget Pat's infectious personality and her ability to shine bright like a diamond!
Pat is predeceased by her husband Bob and brother Robert. She is survived by her sister Terri Vivenzio and family, son Rusty Erickson and Donna Morse, son Sean Macomber and Marcy Macomber; Grandchildren: Alexis Morse, Courtney Morse, Hailee Macomber, Cade Macomber and Ethan Macomber; along with her with two cats Hobo and Scoot.
May we always remember, "I love you a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck".
Memories and condolences may be shared on her tribute wall.
