Regina Arlene (Bridges) Perry - Prospect, Maine
Regina (Bridges) Perry was born on April 30, 1956 and passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Prospect, ME on January 5, 2024. She was born on April 20, 1956 to Edward and Marilyn (Brown) Bridges in Maine. She worked alongside Ed, worked with Big Ed and Miriam at Perry’s Store, was a member of Stockton Springs Fire Department, and a master wreath maker and crocheter, and in charge of blueberry crews. These are just a few of the jobs she worked in order to provide for her family.
Ed and Regina ran the Junior Fire Department for many years including hosting field days with fire musters, and parades. For those that raked blueberries over the many years all were considered to be part of their family and who stayed in touch over the years.
They were predeceased by their parents. They are survived by their children James Scherer and wife Sonia of Richlands, North Carolina, Gary Perkins, Heather Atwood of Prospect, Edward Perkins and wife Katie of Searsport, and Joshua Perry of Prospect, along with many others that were considered their children including Billy and Heidi Gray of Stockton Springs. In addition to their grandchildren, Christian Scherer and wife Erin of Peculiar, Missouri, Edward Scherer of Richlands, North Carolina, Isaiah and Auren-Jean Perkins, Steven, Samantha, and William Perkins of Searsport, and Cooper Perry of Prospect, many nieces and nephews, and extended family.
We, their children, would like to thank Regina’s sister, Coleen Damon, for going above and beyond for all their needs.
Family and friends will gather for visitation from 11 am until the time of service at 12 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Riposta Funeral Home 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast, Maine. A gathering will take place following the service at 2 pm at Prospect Community Club.
