Obituary of James L. Hall

James Leslie Hall, age 77, of Belfast, Maine passed away on December 8, 2023.

James was born in Belfast to Lois Chaples Hall and Leslie Hall on March 17, 1946. He graduated from Belfast in 1964 and then went on to school in Presque Isle for two years for carpentry and blueprints. He then enlisted in the Army and served in Italy for three years.

James worked as a carpenter his whole life and was known as the pool man. He enjoyed spending time with his family, seeing his grandchildren and looked forward to camping and fishing with the street rod gang.

James is survived by his wife of 52 years Yvonne Hall of Belfast, his daughters Lisa Bowen and her husband Chris of Arizona and Kristi Lewis and her husband Dave of Swanville, his granddaughter Nicole Lewis of Swanville, his grandsons Grant Bowen of Arizona and Luke Bowen of Arizona, great-granddaughter Zaylie Cushman of Swanville, his nephew Scott Bowen and wife Terry of Belfast and Troy Bowen of Colorado.

He was predeceased by his parents Lois and Leslie Hall of Belfast and sister Mary Bowen and husband Jack of Nebraska.

A gathering for sharing memories will be held on Saturday, December 16 at 1 pm at Kristi and Dave’s home in Swanville. If directions are needed please reach out to the family.  Memories and condolences may be shared on his tribute wall.
