Obituary of Sonja Jean Tripp

Sonja Jean Tripp, 64, passed into the arms of Jesus on October 12, 2023. Sonja loved Jesus and wanted everyone to know Him. She loved spending time with family and friends. Gardening, cooking, and shopping with her daughters or her special friends were things she especially loved. Mornings with coffee and conversations with her loving husband Tony and her children were precious to her. She loved cooking for others, spending time at Church and serving others. She was a long time caregiver for her mother and step-father. She worked in years past as a house cleaner and as a cook for several different places. Sonja particularly enjoyed helping with the murder mysteries at the Norumbega Inn in Camden.

Sonja is survived by her loving husband Tony Tripp, her children; Terri Tower and husband Greg, Kati Heath and husband Jared, Michael Abbott and wife Meghan, Toni Boutin, Tami Nickerson and husband Mike;  her mom Ella Nickerson; 17 grandchildren; Casey, Cody, Kaelyn, Dylan, Lyndsey, Levi, Andrew, Ben, Ryker, Devin, Mercy, Matt, Donnie, Sebrina, Page, Amber and Mike; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Roxanne Copeland and husband Ronnie, Ruth Yeaton and husband Bob, Dora Philbrook; brothers Alva Philbrook III and wife Kristi, Kurt Philbrook and wife Karen, Ed Philbrook, Jeff Philbrook, and Matt Philbrook; many nieces and nephews; her step-mom Linda Philbrook; and many special friends. She was predeceased by her father Alva Philbrook and her step-father Joe Nickerson.

A celebration of life service will be held at Brooks Pentecostal Church, 178 Monroe Hwy, Brooks ME on Saturday October 21^st at 1 PM.
