Obituary of Kristine Ardell Smith

Kristine "Kris" Smith, 68, of Belfast, ME, passed away on July 24, 2023. Born on June 27, 1955, Kris was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Kris was a fun and loving person who had a passion for gardening and spending time with her family. She cherished her role as a grandmother and great grandmother, finding immense joy in the presence of her grandchildren and great granddaughter, Sophia Bennett.

In her earlier years, Kris worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for many years, dedicating her time and energy to caring for others. Her compassionate nature and unwavering commitment to helping those in need made a lasting impact on the lives of her patients and colleagues.

Kris is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Dogil of Belmont, ME, and Laurie Gardiner of Belmont, ME, as well as her son, Norman Flagg of Belfast, ME. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Brittany Bennett of Westborough, MA, Brandi Dogil and Jasmyne Restrepo Perez, and, her brother Craig Varney and his wife Susie of Brooks, ME. Her mother, Barbara Varney, and father, Harold Varney, both of Belfast, ME preceded her in death.

Kris Smith will forever be remembered for her love, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
