Roxanna came to our high school as a student teacher, teaching English class. She was a fun and interesting teacher. During the creative writing part of the class, she read my story aloud to the class. Sometimes, I would see her at the Bangor Library after school hours and we would always chat for a few minutes. We both really liked being at the library.

Roxanna was a wonderful friend for 40 years. She was a gifted English teacher who had a special talent that enabled all of her students to really enjoy her English classes. She was equally talented as a librarian.
For years we met for lunch at Darby's with Georgene Coombs, Mary Alden and Bill Webb to celebrate our birthdays. Her quick wit was always present.
She handled her cancer diagnosis with grace and dignity and was a true fighter. I will miss her.

Roxanna was much beloved at Belfast Area High School. She ran the library and befriended many of our students, always sharing that strong sense of humor with staff and students alike. She had a way of befriending students who most needed it, taking them under her wing and giving them confidence and acceptance. I enjoyed discussing books, movies, and good stories with her. Fly high, my friend.

In the quiet halls of memory, Roxanna's vibrant presence resonates. An embodiment of intellect served with a liberal dose of wit, her friendship was a warm hearth offering congeniality and magnanimity in equal parts. Her spirit thrived on adventure, creating moments enriched with fun and laughter. Alas, dear Roxie remains now only in reminiscences as we bid her gentle soul peaceful repose. May heaven blissfully cradle this precious friend lost to time. Rest in peace, beloved Roxanna.

Roxanna was a favorite coworker when I started teaching at Stockton Springs Elementary. She was always very helpful, and oh, so funny! I remember her complimenting my style and outfits (in the beginning I really dressed it up). She would say that I was teaching our kids how to dress for success! She was so kind and always made me smile. She brought a beautiful and fun energy - what a wonderful woman.
