Obituary of Paul Alan Flagg Sr.
Paul A Flagg Sr passed away at home with his family by his side on June 11, 2023. He was born in Belfast to Rudolph and Geneva (Westover) Flagg on February 25, 1959.
For many years Paul worked at Penobscot Poultry, then went from there to Remick’s Concrete out of Northport Maine. Paul then went on to start his own house painting business for 30 plus years before retiring and passing the business on to his son Paul A Flagg Jr.
A lifelong resident of Belfast, Paul enjoyed his flower gardens, making sure his lawn was in perfection. He also enjoyed decorating his yard with outside decorations. He enjoyed making his rounds to the local stores to purchase his scratch off tickets as well as dining out.
Paul is survived by his wife Brenda Flagg of 48 years, daughter Christy (Flagg) Tripp and her husband Kevin Tripp, son Paul A Flagg Jr, daughter Tina Flagg, sister Betty Selley, 7 grandkids- TJ, Coly-Paul, Nickolas, Logan, Madison, Dahson and Alexis; 2 great grandchildren and 1 to be born in August, many nieces and nephews; as well as friends-with who special friends Alan Gingsberg and Gene Perry.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, brothers Rudolph and Norman, and sister Cindy.
The family would like to give special thanks to Stockton Springs Health Center, Dr. Andrew Filderman of Rockport Pulmonology and Gentiva Hospice.
Graveside prayer will be held June 23, 2023, at 1:00pm in Grove Cemetery. A gathering will immediately follow at the American Legion Hall in Belfast.
