Obituary of Joshua James Bardeleben

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua James Bardeleben of Bangor, Maine.  He died unexpectantly on June 7, 2023, at the age of 40.

Jossh was born March 25, 1983 in Rockport, Maine to Debbie Ellis and Edward Bardeleben.

Josh graduated from Mount View High School and afterward pursued a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering that he received at the University of Maine in Orono in 2006.

He was later employed at Insight Technologies in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Joshua's favorite hobbies and activities were centered around the appreciation and enjoyment of nature and the outdoors.  He loved hunting, fishing, hiking and camping.

Josh was predeceased by his grandfather, James Ellis, and three special aunts, Jackie Smith, Linda Dunbar, and Shari Wight.  He is survivied by his mother and stepfather Debbie and Wayne Lawrence of Belfast; his brothers Jason Bardeleben and Benjamin Lawrence, and his nephews, Jordan, Brayden, and Riley Lawrence, who he loved very much.  Josh also leaves behind two close freinds, Evan Mylan and Mark Jackson.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 22nd, 2pm at the Belfast City Park Pavilion.  All are welcome to come and share stories about Josh.

In lieu of flowers, we encourage those who would like to donate to a charity in Josh's name consider the American Heart Association.  Josh was born with a congenital heart disease which never kept him from living life to its fullest.  Memories and condolences may be shared on his tribute wall.
