I have so many fond memories of Nikki. One in particular included a short visit I made to her apartment in Kingfield, ME on my way to visiting my parents. Although my visit was brief, we had a wonderful time. We reminisced, went for walks, swam in the nearby stream and ate good food. She told me about a young man she had recently been chatting with (Jerry) and seemed so happy and joyful in those moments. Nikki just had a way of really seeing people. Even if we spent time apart for long stretches, the times we did chat, I felt like I was right back in college spending time with her and laughing every second we could. Nikki was such a positive force in my life during some of my formative years and made so many moments joyful and special. I am so grateful to have known her and so heartbroken she is gone. Thinking of her family, her boys and her friends. Wishing you strength and sending lots of love your way. xo, Maggie.
