I only knew Brian very little from his brief visits to our home to install a new kitchen gas stove. I clearly remember his kindness, interest in old houses like ours, and his description of the water buffalo business. Through no fault of his own, our new kitchen stove had an incorrect setting for, I recall, natural gas vs propane, which we discovered on Thanksgiving Day. We were entertaining about 30 people and Brian insisted on coming away from his family festivities to reset the stove so that it would work properly. We had a work-around solution and tried to convince him to stay home with his family, but he wouldn't hear of it. He walked in and instantly became friends with all 30 people and had it fixed in 5 minutes. I will always remember his smile and his kindness.

I met Brian and Jessica through our kids when they were very young, I would consider them neighbors, as they passed by our house daily in their day to day living...Our boys played together on occasion and we always thought of them as friends, even after the boys had grown. It is with such sadness to learn of Brian's passing and we wish to convey the message of heartfelt sorrow for Jessica and all his family. I'm sorry but words just don't seem adequate enough at this time, so I'm extending a virtual HUG out to all of you....
