Shelly was my best friend for over 30 years, since we were roommates at the University of Maine. Although we hadn't seen each other in person for several years, we texted every day or so and talked almost weekly. Losing her so suddenly was such a sad shock and I miss her every day. She always had my back, gave me honest advice even when it was hard, and she could make me laugh like no one else. So many people have shared how kind, encouraging and easy to get to know she was. So many remember her so fondly, and I doubt she had any idea how many lives she touched. Shelly had a strong faith in God, and it makes me smile to think that now she is with her parents, who she missed every day. Until we meet again, Sis.
