Amy, Tim, Spencer...I wish I wasn't writing this. My heart just breaks for you. Mitchell was my advisee at SDHS, and it was a joy to see him emerge from the challenges of youth, to an amazing young man with a big heart and a bright future. I will remember his humor, his carefree style, his fierce love for his brother. I will never forget the day he got a 4.0 on an assignment and he ran in to show me, and we pinned it to the board. And of course, his winning smile also appeared after that epic home run and rounding the bases his Senior year. His life may have been short, but he lived it well. May we all treasure each day of our lives as Mitchell did.
