Dear Margaret and Family,
We are deeply saddened to read this morning that your beloved Bill has passed away. He has left quite a legacy but most dear to my heart is his remarkable book "Happy Days Along the Kennebec," which described almost exactly my growing up in Fort Fairfield during that same period and inspired me to write my own memoir and enjoy subsequent book talks around the state. Our deepest condolences to you, your family and all who loved this good and accomplished man.
