Obituary of Helen Louise Taylor

Searsport- Helen Louise Taylor, 84, passed away on January 26, 2022. Helen was born December 1, 1937 in Knox Maine to the late Linden Sr. and Evelyn Buzzell. Helen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered as always putting her family's needs before her own. She loved working in her gardens and with her many houseplants. She loved collecting her Indian dolls and wolf figurines along with a huge variety of other collectibles. She loved being surrounded and really enjoyed her many collections that were always on display in her home. She was a great cook and was especially know for making the best American chop suey and homemade biscuits. Her many recipes will continue to be used by present and future generations of her family. Her home was always open for anyone that needed a place to stay, a hot meal, a babysitter or just to chat over a hot cup of tea or coffee. Helen was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Auren Taylor; her son Leonard Taylor; her daughter Annette Taylor and her sisters, Myrtle and Virginia. Surviving are her children, Helen Moody and husband Earl Sr., Wayne Taylor, Carla-Lynn Paige and husband William and Jeffrey A. Cook and wife Mirisha; her siblings, Linden Buzzell Jr., Rita Grindle, Leon Buzzell and Elaine MacArthur; her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Helen’s family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the nursing staff at Orono Commons for the loving care they have provided to Helen over the last few years. A celebration of her life will be held on February 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the VFW on Field Street in Belfast Maine. Memories and condolences may be shared at ripostafh.com.
