Obituary of Ellen Louise Norrie

Ellen Louise (Hustus)Norrie, 67 of Unity passed away on January 22, 2022, in Portland surrounded by her children and siblings, She was born on July 8, 1954, in Plymouth, Maine the daughter of Dalton and Frances (Roberts) Hustus. Ellen attended Mt. View High School and after high school, she got married and started her family of two children whom she had great joy in raising. Ellen loved her family time and especially enjoyed family gatherings. She also was passionate about singing and even sang on the Dick Stacey’s Country Jamboree, as well as drawing, karaoke, keeping pet birds, and making jewelry. Ellen was a faithful church attendee and loved her time spent at Brooks Pentecostal Church and others. The last week of her life was spent surrounded by family which brought her so much enjoyment. She always spoke proudly of her children and grandchildren, great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents; three siblings Victor, Timothy, Kevin, and nephew Kevin II; her children’s father Kenneth Joslin Sr. Ellen is survived by her loving children Shelley Spellman and husband David, and Kenneth Joslin Jr. and wife Stephanie of Brewer; siblings Paul Hustus, Debbie Bilger, Joyce Sanborn and husband Perley, Nathan, Edward and Tony Hustus and his wife Debbie; grandchildren Dustin, Dakota, Christopher, Andrea, Amber, Kasey, Kenneth III, Torianna, and Keegan; great-grandchildren Theo, Samantha, and Brooklyn. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on February 5, 2022, at Brooks Pentecostal Church. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.ripostafh.com
