Obituary of Vicki R. Rogers

UNITY VICKI R. ROGERS of Unity passed away on January 15, 2022 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Vicki was born in Bangor at Dow AFB to Cecil R. and Edith (Raven) Porter on May 3, 1953. She was raised in Brooks and attended schools there. Vicki graduated from Mt. View in 1971 and married Scott G. Rogers that same year. Together in Unity, they raised three children - Fred, Sarah and Cedric. Vicki worked for Dr. Donald Farrell for many years and later with friend, Jenny Tozier, at Jenny's Day Care. Vicki loved gardening and raised a beautiful crop of vegetables and flowers yearly. Vicki, the eldest of six children, helped her mother in bringing up her brother and sisters. She always remained very interested in family affairs and enjoyed talking on the phone with them. Vicki is survived by her husband, Scott, daughter Sarah Rogers Faatz and husband Justin, son Fred Rogers, son Cedric Rogers and wife Alison; grandchildren Josh, Anna and Eva; brother Eric Porter and wife Jan; sisters Jennifer Weber and husband George, Lynelle Alexander, Lana Porter Schmitz and husband John, Connie Dever and husband Dennis, nieces, Chelsi and husband Mike, Stephenie and Brooke; nephews Gabe and wife Emily, Justin and wife Sarah, Anthony and Cristopher; grand-nephews Cailan, Cameron, Julian and Mason. The Rogers Family would like to thank Vicki's many doctors and nurses for wonderful treatment over the years. Especially Dr. Sidney Block at Waldo County M.P. Rheumatology, Belfast. A private family service will be held at the Pond Cemetery in Unity at a later date. Memories and condolences may be shared on her tribute wall.
