BELFAST- Carroll Francis Patten Jr. passed away peacefully on September 10, 2021, after a brief illness.
Carroll was born in Orland, Maine the son of Erma (Gray) Patten and Carroll Patten Sr.
Carroll was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army. He continued serving his community as a bus driver for local school districts and through his work at the Waldo County Sheriffs Department. Many students will fondly remember their rides on his school bus because he made the extra effort to learn all their names and make each one feel special. Carroll loved music, loved to dance, and sing and would often share his rendition of “Little Joe” anytime it was requested.
Carroll was predeceased by his parents Erma and Carroll Patten, his daughter Theresa, sisters Helen, Angie, and Clara as well as his brother Kelsey.
Carroll is survived by his brothers Russell and Alvertie and his sister Donna. He is also survived by his children Melissa Roberts and her husband Steven, Angel Cyr and her husband Jeffrey, Tamatha Fuller and her husband Daniel, Carroll “Rowdy” Patten and his wife Angie, and Kevin Patten Sr.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Zachary Patten and his wife Ashley, Kevin and Terry Patten, Vanessa and Natalie Roberts, Elida Dickey and her husband Austin, Sadee, Emma and Silas Mehuren, Drake, Delaney and Alex Westover, Brandon Cyr and his wife Megan, Danielle Cyr as well as his great grandchildren Maezee, Matthew, Kim, James, and Aidan.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 19th at 3:00 p:m at the Grove Cemetery in Belfast, Maine.
