Obituary of Norma Leigh Stinson
Norma Stinson, 68, of Lincolnville, Maine, passed away May 23, 2021 after an 18-month fight with cancer. Norma was born in Camden, Maine on August 11, 1952, to Herbert and Mary (Hollaway) Libby. She married Edward Stinson and together they enjoyed being long-haul truckers, as well as breeding and raising Bearded Collies which Norma loved. Norma was employed by Sea Side Gardening for many years, as well as at the Edgecomb House. She also worked as a waitress, bartender and hostess for several local restaurants.
Norma was predeceased by her father. Norma is survived by her husband of 39 years, Edward Stinson of Lincolnville; mother, Mary Staples of Orono; children, Shad Ball of Lincolnville, Corey Staples of Hermon and Sandy Sikes of Greenville; and siblings, Parker, Eric, Daryl, Stacey, Chris, Andrew, Kim and Jodi; as well as a many extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering in Norma’s honor from 2pm to 4pm on August 15, 2021, at 339 Hope Road in Lincolnville. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html in Norma’s memory.
