Obituary of Evelyn Grace Heard
Evelyn Grace (Hustus) Heard, age 85 passed away peacefully on February 2nd, 2021. She was born on October 14, 1935 in Jackson, Maine. She graduated from Zion Bible Institute.
Evelyn (Evie) loved her bountiful family fiercely and made everyone around her feel like family. She believed in and celebrated others triumphs, and would mourn others losses. Invested love, kindness, instilled wisdom and patience. Always listened to others earnestly. Loved people, unconditionally and purely. Was gentle, sweet, giving, caring. Her smile, laugh, and joy was contagious.
Evelyn loved the Lord and attended Faith Temple Church of God. Spent much of her time reading Scripture, but more than reading it, she lived it. Showed love and grace to everyone she met. Was selfless and put others before herself. Would write cards and letters to those that were missing at church. Would call those who were hurting, struggling, or sick. Loved her country and showed it by supporting our troops and Veterans walking in remembrance of 911 and fundraising so Veterans could take trips to Washington DC.
Evelyn was a beautiful singer singing harmony with family and church. Sang “I Know A Man Who Can” like no other. Played the accordion. Sang at local nursing homes with her sister Charlene.
Spent hours crocheting, making blankets and doilies with love in every stitch.
Loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren attending band and choir concerts, sporting events, plays, and would be the loudest to clap and cheer.
She loved playing skip bo, sharing stories of family and friends.
She is survived by daughter Elaine King, husband Joe, son Christopher Heard, wife Tricia, daughter Twila Tomlin and husband Kenneth. Grandchildren, Shannon Gorman, Rachel Edgerly husband Kyle, Elias Pasquerillo, Daniel Heard, Allyson LaPoint, Ezekiel Illingworth, Nathaniel Illingworth and Thurston Illingworth, Great Grandchildren, Claralily Goguen, Hope Anne Goguen, and Lincoln Edgerly. Brothers and sisters, Doris, Charlene, Ronnie, Sterling, Elzadia, Roberta, Carol, Althea, Dale, Wanda and lots of nieces and nephews and lots of extended family members.

We will remember her and all of the wonderful memories we have.
