Obituary of Janie C. York

JANIE C. YORK, 85, passed away December 22, 2020, at Waldo County Hospital in Belfast. She was born in Searsport March 8, 1935, to Maurice and Violet (Evans) Pendleton Sr. Janie was very active in several area churches throughout her life where she taught Sunday School for many years. She played the piano both at home as well as at church. Janie loved doing all kinds of crafts and sharing that time with her family. In addition to her parents, Janie was predeceased by her siblings; Eldon, Maurice Jr., Chester, Kathleen Whitcomb, and Arlene Kelley. Janie is survived by her daughter, Yvonne and husband James Hall of Belfast; her sister Marion Hall of Searsport; her brother Richard Pendleton and wife Robbie of Stockton Springs; grandchildren Lisa Bowen and husband Chris of Waddell, AZ, Kristi Lewis and husband Dave of Swanville; great grandchildren Nicole Lewis of Swanville, and Grant Bowen and Luke Bowen of Waddell, AZ; great-great granddaughter Zaylie Cushman of Swanville; many nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be announced in the spring.
