Obituary of Gregory E. McClain

Gregory Edward McClain, 69, of Northport, ME, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020. Greg is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years Cathy (nee Sabo), daughter Kyley (Avi) Sommer, and grandson Mardy; siblings Sandy (Dennis) Dunkerson, Debbie (Jim) Yazevac, Wes (Donna) McClain, and Craig (Sue) McClain. He was predeceased by his parents W. Lee and Betty McClain, sister Sharon Hardy, and beloved mother-in-law Emily Fischer Sabo. Former resident of West Windsor, NJ, he moved to Maine in 2002. Greg was a graduate of Princeton High School, Princeton, NJ, Rutgers University School of Turf Grass Management, former Co-owner of Cranbury Golf Course, and owner of Turf Concepts, Inc in New Jersey. Greg and his Great Dane Luna were well known in the Mid-Coast Maine communities of Belfast and Camden. Greg’s memory will always bring a smile to his family and friends.
