My Dearest Grandpa, How did I get so lucky to have you as my Grandfather. I have so many wonderful memories that I will Cherish forever. I can think of a few that make me smile.. When I was little I loved staying with you and Nana, when Mom would come pick me up you would tell me to go run and hide. When I got my permit I would drive you around we would always drive over to Searsport and around the lake. My trips to Myrtle Beach to visit you we would all cry when it was time for me to go. This is not a goodbye as we never could say that to each other this is a see you later. I love you so much, heaven is a beautiful place because you are in it. I promise to take good care of Nana and we will always talk about you.
Love Always, Jenn, Aaron, Mariah and Alyssa

April 12, 2020. A LETTER TO MY FATHER-IN-LAW, RAYMOND HALL
Dear Ray,
I’m sorry I never got to mail this, or better yet tell you in person. But I wanted you to know the impact you have had on my life.
You welcomed me into your awesome family in 2008, with open arms, that awesome smile, and not a hair out of place! I instantly felt like I had known you my whole life (you have that effect on people!). You helped me navigate your family tree...who was married to who and who’s kids belonged to who. My aunt Bobbe visited each summer and you welcomed her the same way! My parents arrived and you proudly showed them your state, and even took them on a road trip to Quebec. They too felt like they were warmly welcomed and instant friends.
While I have fewer memories, they are none the less warm and deep. I will always treasure our lawn mower races, our early morning outings to the “Y”, swimming, our impromptu happy hours on the porch, numerous holiday and special dinners (always with a heartfelt and passionate blessing prior to the meal), and most recently reading and painting together.
You have left a legacy of love, caring and thoughtfulness. It is in the HALL genes — and being passed down and treasured with each new addition to the family tree. Thank you for raising such an incredible family and welcoming me into it. I know you are in a better place, and I think Lady and Dolly met you at the rainbow bridge (Lady is wiggling her butt off in excitement, Dolly is calmly waiting her turn to greet you with a cozy head snuggle). They probably greeted you in a new golf cart so they can show you around!
While you have left an emptiness in our hearts that we cannot fill, we will all carry you with us everywhere as we continue to navigate our earthly lives. ‘Till we meet again, take care of everyone up there and we will do our best to cover things down here.
Love always, Nancy❤️
