Obituary of Ann H. Bucklin
Ann Hills Bucklin
May 23, 1932 - March 31, 2020
Ann peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday the 31st of March. She was born to Herbert and Mildred (Lamson) Hills. Graduating from Crosby High in 1950, where she was an avid member of the 4-H Club. She grew up with 9 brothers and sisters. She married Ralph E. Bucklin in 1953. Ann worked in a variety of professions, from working on Karl Wentworth’s farm, his laundromat, and the family animal shelter, to becoming a Town Clerk and Treasurer for the town of Belmont. She was a gifted seamstress and made many pillows and quilts for her children and grandchildren. She worked for many years at Creative Apparel, in Belmont. Ann was a member at Morrill Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and 5 Day Clubs. She always faithfully supported a number of missionaries throughout her life. Ann had a love for flower gardens and animals. In more recent years, Ann could often be found watching birds and chasing squirrels from her feeders. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was truly intentional about keeping in touch with her family and friends, always sending cards and words of encouragement.
She is survived by her children, Ben Bucklin and wife Jan, Marlene Bennett, Tom Bucklin, and wife Gail. As well as her grandchildren, Paul Cushman and wife Amanda, Cheri Cushman, Matthew Bennett, and wife Christina, Hannah Bennett, William Bucklin, and wife Katie, Benjamin Bucklin, Jessica Bucklin, and Jacob Bucklin. She’s survived by 5 great-grandchildren, Melanie, Luke, Sarah, Jacob, Thea, and Theodore, along with two great, great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Glen Hills, Basil Hills, Carl Hills, sister-in-laws Ann Canning, Lucille Pica, and Barbara Hills, and beloved niece, Cathy Clark Burcham. As well as by many loved nieces and nephews.
Ann was predeceased by her husband of 23 years, Ralph Bucklin, daughter Linda Bucklin, and grandson, Donnie Cushman. Along with her siblings, Richard Hills (KIA - WWII), Raymond Hills, Helen (Hills) Clark, Francis (Hills) Rumney, Evelyn Hills, and Marie (Hills) Clark.
Visiting hours for Ann and her celebration of life will be held at a later date.
