Obituary of Maxine E. Engstrom

Stockton Springs - Maxine E. (Bowden) Engstrom, 62, passed away March 19,2020. She was born June 23, 1957 to Earl and Charlotte (Carbonell) Bowden, born in New Britian, Conn. but raised in Stockton Springs. Maxine was a dynamic woman, and was one to help others first before helping or worrying about herself. She always kept life long friends Shelly Merrithew and Linda Rooney in her thoughts over the years. Later in life she met her one true love George P George, with him she found a measure of peace later in life. Also helping to have a hand in raising his son Michael. Special friends John Merrifield and and Candice. Maxine and her son Eric shared a special bond and were close and helped with his better half Carol McKenzie. To those she helped over the years, the lives she touched. She was also one never to cross. She was close to her Uncle Albert Carbonell. She served on the SAD 56 School Board for 20 plus years. She worked for Sherman Williams, Ames, Sprauge Energy, Dysart's Services, and Ocean State Job Lots. She was loved by many, friends to many more and she will be missed. She was predeceased by her father Earl Bowden and mother Charlotte. Neice Heidi, Aunt Dorothy Cunningham. She leaves behind her son Eric Engstrom and his partner Carol McKenzie. Her love George P. George. Her uncle Albert Carbonell. Sister Luann, brother, 2 other sisters and so many more. In lieu of flowers we ask to please donate to Paws of Camden or your local animal shelter.
