I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to the Lear family, especially to Gayle. I remember Gayle's mom Joyce fondly when Gayle and I were in school together. I remember Joyce was a talented seamstress and my friend wore awesome outfits sewn by her mother. When we were in high school, she would let us borrow the car after we dropped her at work at the old Camden Hospital and we would pick her up later and practice driving once we had our learner's permits. She was a hardworking woman and like my family there were six kids and I remember how much both our moms did taking care of those big families. I used to see her walking Northport Avenue and sometimes down Mayo Street to the oceanfront, when they moved to a home in Belfast. I lost my mother a year ago and I understand now more than ever how much our mothers did and how much they mean to us. May all your memories of your mom keep her close in your heart.
