Obituary of Robert E. Ayer

Wednesday January 8th, Robert E. Ayer passed away after a short battle with stage 4 cancer. Robert was a very strong man and fought this tough battle with his family by his side; the whole time always keeping a smile on his face. Robert was born in Waterville, ME on January 6th ,1975 to John and Ruth (Sanderson) Ayer. He graduated from Mount View high school in 1993. Robert went on to work in a factory, until he found Mathews Brothers Company, where he worked the past 15 years. He was an avid golfer and a member of the APA pool league. Robert was known for his hunting and fishing skills as well as keeping smiles on his family and friends faces. Rob always made sure his family had what they needed. He enjoyed going ice fishing at Dutton pond with his many close friends and loved going out to the hunting stand getting the big bucks. Robert is survived by His parents John and Ruth Ayer, his loving wife of 26 years Holly Brown-Ayer, his daughter Amber Ayer, his son and daughter in law Robbie JR and Kassie Ayer, along with the light of his life his grandson Dexter Carl. Robert is also survived by two very special friends Bobby and Jason Hughes. There will be a Celebration of life held at the Tarratine Tribe #13 IORM, 153 Main Street Belfast, Maine 04915 on January 31st, 2020 from 4 to 7:30 pm. All are welcome to come share their wonderful stories/memories they had with Robert.
