Obituary of Betty Synove Coubert
Betty Synove Coubert
Bucksport - Betty S. Coubert, 86 years, of Bucksport, ME, passed away peacefully Saturday November 2, 2019 at her home going immediately to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord..." KJV. She was born February 24, 1933 in Cambridge, MA, the daughter of Axel and Marie (Jorgensen) Johnson.
Mother loved music, learning the piano at an early age, played the piano and organ at the Bucksport Bible Church. Betty graduated from Bucksport High School class of 1950. Went to earn her RN at Sister's Hopsital in Waterville Maine graduating in 1953 in the class.
Mom accepted the Lord as her savior many years ago. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not persish but have everlasting life." Mother lamented that all she could do was pray since she couldn't work or get around well. There is power in prayer. She was great prayer warrior!
I am blessed to have had my mother for such a long time. She was determined, intelligent, had a sharp wit, and tongue at times, an easy laugh, always open arms for a hug and a shoulder to cry on.
Betty is survived by her daughters Trudi and Anita; her grandson/son Chris and other family members and friends.
Many thanks to Kindred at Home and Hospice, Pastor Mike Donato and wife Penny and friend Loris.
At her request there will be a graveside service that will be announced at a later date.
