Obituary of James J. Walsh

James J. Walsh of 3 Kinney Ave., Old Orchard Beach passed away on May 11th. He was born in Boston, MA June 5, 1930. He lived in Portland for several years where he held the position of Registrar of Deeds for Cumberland County. He moved to Old Orchard Beach in the late 1980's and managed Richard's Apartments until it was sold to the present owners. Jimmy, fondly known as "The Governor" would sit on his porch and greet our summer visitors, neighbors and friends. At Jimmy's request there will be no memorial service. Donations may be made in Jimmy's memory to the Jeanne Davis Food Pantry at the Methodist Church on Washington Ave. in Old Orchard Beach.
