Obituary of Sylvia M. West

SYLVIA M. WEST, 76 of Morrill, passed away January 12, 2010 in Belfast. She was born in Trenton, Maine October 19, 1933, the daughter of Merrill and Eunice Dolliver. She cooked for Lamoine Grammar School and attended Trenton Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed staying home baking, cooking and doing crosswords. Sylvia loved her cats very much and enjoyed going to Spectrum Generations. She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Connie Farley; a brother, Reginald; two husbands, Burton Googins and Shirley “Chud” West. Sylvia is survived by her children, Lewis Googins and wife Kelly of KY, Shiree Poors and significant other Randy Perkins of Blue Hill, Dennis West and wife Terrie of Milbridge, Andrea Swett and husband Keith of Ellsworth, Shirlee Hurd and husband Matthew of Morrill, Crystal Roberts and husband Cyril of Ellsworth; siblings Beverly Pieslak of Bordentown, NJ, Fred Gasper and wife of Ellsworth; sister-in-laws Peg Grant of Hancock, Priscilla Kennedy and husband Roger of Milbridge; brother-in-law Curtis West of Boothbay; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held in the spring. Those who wish may make donations in Sylvia’s memory to Spectrum Generations, 18 Merriam Road, Belfast, ME 04915.
