Obituary of Carole J. Crosby

Carole J. Crosby, 69, of Unity passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Inland Hospital in Waterville. She was born in Belfast July 24, 1941, the daughter of the late Harland L. Sr. and Susie (Harding) Crosby of Unity. Carole graduated from Unity-Freedom High School in 1959 and the Maine Medical Center School of Nursing in 1962. She left Maine Medical Center in 1976 as Head Nurse of the Cardiovascular Unit. Carole worked for Donald W. Krause MD in Bangor from 1976-1994 . Over the years, she held many positions and ended her career in 2005 at Phillips-Strickland House in Bangor. Carole was predeceased by her parents and brother Frank. She is survived by a brother Harland L. Crosby Jr. of Unity. At Carole’s request, there will be no funeral service. A spring burial will be at the Farwell Cemetery in Unity. Carole’s family and friends would like to express their appreciation for the loving care she received at the Evergreen Unit of Woodlands Assisted Living in Waterville.
