Obituary of Gordon H Johnstone

GORDON H.JOHNSTONE, 74 of Belfast, passed away April 14, 2011 in Portland. He was born May 26,1936 in Plymouth, New Hampshire, the son of Herbert and Esther (Anderson) Johnstone. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Gordon will be remembered as a quiet man who loved to read and enjoyed cooking. Someone once said he made the best ham salad ever. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rolande (Noel) Johnstone of Belfast; eight children, Michael Johnstone and his wife Susan of Virginia, Christopher Johnstone and his wife Beth of New Hampshire, Peter Johnstone of Belfast, Stephen Johnstone and his wife Valerie of New Hampshrie, Richard Johnstone of Lincolnville, Sandra Sanderson and her husband Peter of Belfast, Susan Walker and her husband Eric of Belmont, Sarah Johnstone of Belfast and Australian daughter, Dianne King; a brother Malcolm of New Hampshire; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Private services will be held for the family with interment and full military honors at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
