Obituary of Lorraine Lloyd Spring

Lorraine Lloyd Spring died Monday, September 24, 2012, at her home in Troy following a long illness. She was born in Belfast, ME on May 23, 1949. Lorraine was affectionately known as "Rainy" and a member of the Faith Community Church in Unity. Lorraine had a passion for the arts and was a talented artist in her own right. She enjoyed restoring and decorating houses. She also loved animals and had a horse named Trapper for many years. She leaves behind her parents, Franklin and Elizabeth Lloyd of Milford, CT, four children, Jason Shapiro of Concord, NC, Elizabeth Shapiro of Troy, Susan Shapiro of Waterbury, CT and Houlton, Franklin Mann Harriman of Newport, a step-daughter, Tammy Spring Stolty of Orono, and step-son Stephen Mann of MD, six granddaughters and two grandsons, two brothers Earl Lloyd of Torrington, CT and Virgil Lloyd of Chester, CT and one sister, Kathleen Stevenson of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, as well as many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The funeral service will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, September 26th at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast followed by prayers at Monroe Village Cemetery in Monroe.
