Obituary of Robert J. Caron

WATERVILLE -- Robert J. Caron, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Maine Medical Center from injuries he suffered as a result of a fall in his home on Dec. 1, 2012. He was born Feb. 1, 1935, in Waterville. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Andre Caron; and his brother, Richard F. Caron. He leaves behind a sister, Claudette Couture. Bob will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Bonnie L. Caron; his son, Patrick A. Caron; his daughter, Emily; and his daughter, Peggy A. Benedict, and her husband, William, and their two children, Amy, of Berlin, Mass., and Ryan, of Denver, Colo. He also leaves behind his constant companion who brought him many hours of amusement and pleasure, Lucky the cat. He spent his life working first as a television repairman at Hallee's TV when the TV repairman still came to your home, then at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville, where he spent the balance of his working career, retiring in 2003. He and Bonnie enjoyed their 54 years together living life their way, together all the time in their home in Waterville, watching a great hockey game or traveling to see their grandchildren at their events. They spent summers in their dream home on the coast of Maine. At the specific request of Bob, there will be no viewing and no service. He will be buried at the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. The family requests that you honor Bob's passing by enjoying every moment of your own day. Life is fragile and sometimes cut short. Love life and live each day joyfully in your own way.
