Obituary of Jane Leona Shorey

Unity - Jane Leona Shorey passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 14, 1950 in Waterville, Maine the daughter of Mervin Greene and Virginia Spaulding. She attended school in Clinton and Fairfield. She embraced life to the fullest. Enjoyed any moment riding down the highway on her new Can-Am Spyder. Jane and Robert were members of TRI County Street Rods of Maine. Enjoyed camping with her family, quilting, scrap booking, gardening, had a love for dragonflies, she had an adventurous spirit. Her family came first. Jane was an active member of the Quaker Hill Christian Church of Unity. Was employed at Ski-Land Woolen Mill in Clinton, Scott Paper in Winslow. Survived by her husband of 41 years Robert and son Shawn, step-sons Ronald and Laurie Jackson, Mark Jackson, mother Virginia and her friend Omer Duguay; uncle, Leon Peavey; sisters, Jean and Roland Morang Jr., Susan and George Cloutier, Julie Gentile, Sharon and Ed Williams, Trudy Greene, Susan and George Clark, step-sister Kathy Spaulding. Brothers, Eric and Megan Spaulding, Mervin and Loretta Greene Jr., James and Debbie Greene, Holly and Debbie Greene, step-brothers Mike and Cindy Spaulding, Mark and Nancy Spaulding, Tim and Martha Spaulding , Greg and Brenda Spaulding. Father in-law Robert Shorey Sr., brother in-laws, Verdie Leighton, Michael and Elaine Shorey, John Shorey, sisters in-law Linda and Norman Stimpson, LeeAnnShorey, Juanita Carlson, Frances Leighton, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jane was pre-deceased by her step-father Clyde Spaulding, mother in-law Leona Shorey, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. There will be no visitation, graveside services to be announced later in the spring, there will be a Celebration of Life Service at the Quaker Hill Christian Church, in Unity Feb. 23rd at 2 p.m. Pastor Mike Senecal officiating 207-491-5080 in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Robert to offset expenses.
