Obituary of Louis Joseph Lavoie
Louis Joseph Lavoie, 74, passed away in Van Buren on February 6, 2014. He was born in Caswell, Maine on May 17, 1939 to Frank and Elizabeth (Page) Lavoie. He is survived by his children, Louis Lee Lavoie and wife Nina of Lewiston, Scott Joseph Lavoie and wife Bettena of Johnson City, Tennessee, Louis Joseph Lavoie Jr of Caribou, Carrie Gallop of Rochester, New Hampshire, Sherri Mancos of Caribou; brothers and sisters, Arlene Brock of Caribou, Suzanne Baker of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Jeannette Carpenteri of Edison, New Jersey, Adrien Lavoie and wife Linda of Caribou, Noella and Adrian Lavoie of Edina, Missouri, Jackie Michaud and husband Ivan of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; grandchildren, Lydia, Ben, Sarah, Chelsey, Landon, Serena, Jacob, Rebecca, Micheal and Dustin; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Isaac; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a grandson, Shane Gallop.
The family would like to thank Cary Medical Center in Caribou for the care given to Louis while in their care. Also we want to thank Borderview Rehab and Nursing Facility in Van Buren for the exceptional and compassionate care given to Louis while in their care. The personnel were so caring and dedicated to keep him comfortable in his last hours of life on this earth. You will always be considered family in our eyes. Thank you to Direct Cremation of Maine for the excellent service they provided for Louis. A service and burial will be held at a later date in Hamlen, Maine
