Obituary of Benjamin L. Bunk Edgecomb

Benjamin Lee "Bunk" Edgecomb, 67, of Searsmont, passed away at Waldo County General Hospital Monday, March 24. He was born January 14, 1947 in Danvers, Mass., a son of the late Benjamin and Marion (Innis) Edgecomb. Bunk served in the National Guard and worked many years for Vikings Lumber. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time camping with his two dogs. Bunk leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Nancy Edgecomb; his children Tom Edgecomb and wife Patty and Dennis Edgecomb; grandsons Thomas Edgecomb and Ben Thompson; siblings Laura Weeks and friend Jack, Paula Adam and husband Charlie, and Priscilla Cash and husband Dennis; and sisters-in-law Sandra Edgecomb and Marie Edgecomb. He also leaves behind his extended family Joan Harvey and husband Steve, Jean Gould and husband Peter, Laura Jacobs and husband Eddie, Paul Newman, Peter Newman, John Newman and wife Linda, Ellen Owenby, and Mary Luna, as well as his two best friends Sam and Katie and many other close friends too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by John and Joyce Mehuren, Laurel Edgecomb, Bobbie Edgecomb, Charlie Edgecomb and Dale Edgecomb. A time of gathering for family and friends to share in a Potluck luncheon will be held April 12 at 11 a.m. at The Liberty Community Hall, Route. 220 in Liberty. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Oncology department at WCGH 118 Northport Ave. Belfast, Maine, 04915
