Obituary of Nancy L. French
SOMERVILLE – Nancy L French, 67, after a courageous battle with cancer, passed away on May 9, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born at home in Oakland, Maine on October 25, 1946, the daughter of Verne and Margaret (Bickford) George. One of her proudest accomplishments was graduating from Williams High School in 1965.
Mom was a hard worker, well known for her loyalty and dedication to her job. From chicken factories, Gee’s farm, The Frame Factory, the Button Factory, Sylvania’s, SCI and Sam’s Club she always worked her hardest and helped everyone she could. She truly took pride in her work.
Mom loved her family more than anything else. She had big family BBQ’s, camping, fishing, hunting, she did it all. She had a way of making the holidays special sometimes with next to nothing. She would prepare huge meals and her famous donuts for the hunters. Pool parties all summer long. She babysat so many children over the years. Mom decorated so many Wedding cakes with her sister-in-law Mary. There were so many close friends that she has loved over the years. Her biggest passion was her children and her Grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by everyone whose lives she made an impact on.
